1.) Watch the following clip:

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

In this situation i would definitely be terrified but then my conscience would click to me, making me think of all the possibilities i could think off. So i would firstly call the police or either the guard in the guards compartment and ask them to assist the man. During that time it takes for the guard to come i will ask bystanders to come and help me approach the youths and to help out the ethnic old man. After the event of this happening i will remember specifically what has happened so i could be an eye witness for the police to give them a very accurate story of what has happened.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

In this situation i would try to tell the girl about the wrong choice she is about to consider and try to influence her to tell her friends to just play a sport in the house to get their minds off getting in trouble. But if she disagrees to follow my instructions i will leave the group and let them be for that i don’t want to like someone who is in love with wrong doings.

If the Australian government had banned the internet I would feel very annoyed and frustrated if they choose to consider banning the internet? I would feel these emotions when they banned the internet because it will make me frustrated with all my school assignments because I will loose the privilege of just hopping onto a computer and researching the topic but instead it will consider me to start using more books and going to the library.

I would also feel very annoyed because I have lost the privilege of contacting my friends using internet browsers such as msn, bebo and myspace leading me to waste money on phone calls to friends. An also I will also loose the privilege of seeing my favourite basketball teams end result on the internet against their biggest rivals if I have missed the game clash on the television.

US Police Kill Man In Wheelchair

Tuesday Mar 18 19:26 AEDT

AP – Police have shot and killed a man in a wheelchair at a Colorado hospital who claimed his oxygen tank had been rigged with a detonator.

Terrance Baughman, 32, was shot in the chest and died about seven hours later after undergoing surgery at Boulder Community Hospital, police said.

Baughman got out of the wheelchair during the standoff, leading officers to fire, police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said.

“It was his movement that triggered the confrontation,” Huntley said.

olice used a robot to remove a red bag found in Baughman’s possession, and they took it to a nearby park and detonated it. They had not determined what it was as of Monday night.

It was not clear why Baughman was at the hospital. He was a Boulder resident who had once been a patient there.

The standoff started around 9am local time when the man, in a vestibule leading to the main lobby and the emergency room, said he had a detonator. The bomb squad and special police teams responded.

Five emergency patients were moved to another part of the emergency room, and the 200-bed hospital was locked down.

The lockdown was lifted Monday afternoon (local time), but the vestibule, lobby and part of the emergency room remained closed while police investigated.

‘‘They came by water’’

Representational

The participants of this image are white rabbits, to the indigenous people known as the white man who invaded their land. The representation of the rabbits is showed as rabbits with wealthy clothing with a straight posture to symbolise power and strength. Their relationship with one another seems to be very strong for they all follow each other in a group standing strong and very aware. In this image there is a huge attraction and that is the boat, it gazes our eyes to the boat because of it enormous size. The vector suggests a relationship with the rabbits for that the rabbits show complete ownership over the boats showing a relationship of ones property. The significance of the reading path shows that the rabbits have came off their boats and rose to new land prepared to conquer. The red flag one rabbit carries is a motif that is present in this image, it is a symbol of power and determination to find new land and to conquer a new beginning.
Interactive
The image offers us to gaze at the boat and for us to see them get of and enter into new land. It also offers us to watch the rabbits conquer new land from a close distance. We are over ruled through this image, to be informing them to stop this action of taking away the land they want to have. The image of the boat is angled in a low position and from a far; this action was taken to show the viewer that the rabbits came from far away to find and conquer new land. The image of the rabbits is taken very close and from a frontal angle, this was implied to show that with the straight posture of each rabbit it was seen as they had strong men and were demanding and focused to do rite. The modality of the rabbits is high, the colours are bright and strong this is done to make objects or characters in the picture more attractive to show people the importance of the picture. Illumination is contained in this image, the background of this image show that it is a gloomy day for others but it also shows that it is a glorious day for others. This is shown as the gloomy dark sky for the owners of the land for it will be taken away by the right rabbits making a mixture of a bright blue background for those who have found new land.
