‘‘They came by water’’

Representational

The participants of this image are white rabbits, to the indigenous people known as the white man who invaded their land. The representation of the rabbits is showed as rabbits with wealthy clothing with a straight posture to symbolise power and strength. Their relationship with one another seems to be very strong for they all follow each other in a group standing strong and very aware. In this image there is a huge attraction and that is the boat, it gazes our eyes to the boat because of it enormous size. The vector suggests a relationship with the rabbits for that the rabbits show complete ownership over the boats showing a relationship of ones property. The significance of the reading path shows that the rabbits have came off their boats and rose to new land prepared to conquer. The red flag one rabbit carries is a motif that is present in this image, it is a symbol of power and determination to find new land and to conquer a new beginning.
Interactive
The image offers us to gaze at the boat and for us to see them get of and enter into new land. It also offers us to watch the rabbits conquer new land from a close distance. We are over ruled through this image, to be informing them to stop this action of taking away the land they want to have. The image of the boat is angled in a low position and from a far; this action was taken to show the viewer that the rabbits came from far away to find and conquer new land. The image of the rabbits is taken very close and from a frontal angle, this was implied to show that with the straight posture of each rabbit it was seen as they had strong men and were demanding and focused to do rite. The modality of the rabbits is high, the colours are bright and strong this is done to make objects or characters in the picture more attractive to show people the importance of the picture. Illumination is contained in this image, the background of this image show that it is a gloomy day for others but it also shows that it is a glorious day for others. This is shown as the gloomy dark sky for the owners of the land for it will be taken away by the right rabbits making a mixture of a bright blue background for those who have found new land.
